Dr. Sue Ann Lee is an associate professor in the Department of Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Lee earned her Master’s degree from The Ohio State University and her Ph.D. in Speech Pathology at the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Lee’s research interest lies in speech characteristics in children with and without speech sound disorders and bilingualism. Her recent research focuses on examining speech therapy efficacy using various technology such as ultrasound and telepractice. Dr. Lee has received external grants from the National Institutes of Health, CH Foundation and the South Plains Foundation. Her work has been published in multiple high impact journals such as the Journal of Child Language and Journal of Speech-Language and Hearing Research. Jesus E. Medina, M.D., F.A.C.S, a native of Peru, completed his training in Otorhinolaryngology at Wayne State University in Detroit. Following this, he completed a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at the M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston. He began his academic career in 1980 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at M.D. Anderson. In 1984, he accepted a position as an Associate Professor and Director of the Head and Neck Cancer Program in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at the University of Oklahoma. He became Chairman of that Department in 1991 and he currently holds the Paul & Ruth Jonas Chair in Cancer Treatment and Research.

His Clinical Research activities center around the management of cervical lymph node metastases in squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma of the head and neck, organ preservation strategies and minimally invasive parathyroid surgery.

Rodney J Taylor MD, MSPH is an associate professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Maryland of School of Medicine (UMSOM). Dr. Taylor is the Director of General Otorhinolaryngology at UMSOM and the Chief of Otolaryngology at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center at Baltimore. He joined the faculty of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology in 2001. Dr. Taylor has been recognized by local and national organizations as one of 'America’s Top Otolaryngologist.' Dr. Taylor graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 1991 where he was Senior Class President, Varsity Football player and received the Francis Burr Award for character, leadership, and athletic ability. He then graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1995, receiving his MD, while also serving as Academic advisor and counselor for Harvard College pre-med students. Following medical school, Dr. Taylor spent 6 years at the University of Michigan completing his residency in Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery. While at the University of Michigan, he spent a year developing novel techniques in head and neck cancer surgery, as well as developed and studied Quality of Life instruments among head and neck cancer patients. Dr. Taylor also received his Master from the University Of Michigan School Of Public Health in 1999. Dr. Taylor was named a "Top Doctor" in the specialty of Otolaryngology: Head and Neck Malignancies by Baltimore magazine in 2016.

Taylor is the associate chair of research in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery. He oversees more than 20 full-time personnel in a laboratory with multiple grants including six NIH/federal grants. Taylor’s lab has focused on factors impacting immunocytotoxicity and immune-tolerance using cancer cell lines and mouse tumor models.

Dr. Lee Akst is head of the Johns Hopkins Voice Center and is Director of the Division of Laryngology at the Johns Hopkins University Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The focus of his clinical practice is on management of voice disorders, with focus on office-based treatments and operative management of epithelial diseases such as vocal cord leukoplakia, papilloma, and early glottis cancer. He has lectured extensively on phonosurgical techniques, treatment of laryngeal leukoplakia, laryngopharyngeal reflux, and globus pharyngeus. He has been working with engineers at Johns Hopkins on novel robotic platforms to bringing robotic surgery into the endolarynx to aid microlaryngeal operative precision.
